The College will be closing for our Easter Break on Friday 31/03/2023 with classes finishing at 12:20. There will be a Cake Sale and Raffle held on this day. If anyone has items that would be suitable for prizes in the raffle we would very much appreciate them, chocolate, easter Eggs etc ideal! If you do want to donate any prize items, can you please get them to us by Thursday 30/03/2023 and thank you in advance.
The Cake Sale is being run by the Parents Association (PA) and again they would welcome any contributions for this. The PA have asked us to attach two recipes that might be of use in this regard, please find these attached.
Our Senior Boys Soccer team have continued their winning streak with their victory in the Northeast League Final which puts them in the final for the Shield. It is expected that this match will be played in the first week back after the Easter Break, but this has yet to be confirmed. I know you will join me in both congratulating them and wish them the best of luck in the upcoming final.
On an individual note, many congratulations to Danny Mc Grath, one of our current fifth year students who recently captained the Irish National Under 17 Soccer Team to their 3 – 2 victory over Cypress in the match played in Cypress. This victory sees the Irish Team top their group and qualifying for the Under 17 European Championships to be held in Hungary this May. In addition to captaining the team in the match, Danny was one of only two players on the Irish Team who played all 90 minutes of all the group games. Very well-done Danny.
The second round of the HSE vaccinations for first year student who have consented to these will take place on Thursday, 30/03/2023, of next week. We will distribute the documentation sent into us by the HSE to first year students early next week.
