The Transition Year programme is designed to promote in each student an awareness and acceptance of self, of others and of creation.

In addition to the academic subjects the following modules are also offered:
- Careers Guidance
- Life Saving (high level of commitment required)
- Tourism Awareness
- Song writing course
- Public Access To Law
- Drama workshop
- Guest speakers
Students are encouraged to become involved in activities such as:
- Gaisce Awards
- G.A.A. Coaching Course
- Public Speaking
- Debating – French, Irish, English
- External competitions
- Visit to the European Space Centre
All Students:
- Travel on educational, cultural and adventure outings through the year.
- Are involved in the musical
- Participate in our Work Experience Programme
- Receive a copy of a national newspaper each week
