Franciscan College Gormanston is a Roman Catholic school operated and managed by the Irish province of the Order of Friars Minor. The College operates under the trusteeship of the Minister Provincial and Definitory of the Franciscan Province of Ireland.

In keeping with the centuries old tradition of education not only by means of formal education, but also by example, Franciscan College Gormanston seeks to create an ambience within which the students study, pray and socialise in close proximity to the Franciscan community

The College is situated in East Meath and is approximately 32 Kilometres (20 miles) north of Dublin City.

The student body numbers 370 approx.   Small average size classes allow for excellent teaching and learning.

The College is a co-educational day school and part of the Free Education Scheme.  Gormanston College is a voluntary Catholic school within the free education scheme. 

Franciscan College Gormanston offers a high standard of teaching and learning, excellent facilities and a school structure designed to provide students with the opportunities to achieve the very best that they can be.

The College Ethos strives to direct students towards the values of mutual respect, social awareness and a reverence for God and Gospel values.
