Letters to Parents/Guardians re: Addressing Bullying in Schools

22-January-25

Dear Parent / Guardian,

Happy New Year and best wishes for 2025!

As part of the Department of Education's commitment to implementing a whole school approach to preventing and addressing bullying in schools, the Department have developed a set of guidelines and procedures which all schools must follow. The Bi Cinealta procedures aim to support school communities to prevent and address bullying behaviour. We are required to ensure we have a whole school policy in place which includes the above procedures by the commencement of the new academic year 2025 / 2026.

It is important to gather the views and opinions of all stakeholders. I have sought the views of all staff and we are now in the process of obtaining feedback from students and from parents. I include a short, anonymous questionnaire for your attention and would be very grateful if you could find the time to complete same and return.

Thank you for your support and assistance in advance.
