Dear Parent / Guardian,
The new traffic management plan comes into operation from tomorrow morning, Thursday 20th October 2022. Senior staff will be on hand to direct and assist with traffic flow.
Students walking and cycling use the path parallel to the fence from the Stamullen gate and enter the school via the new bike storage area (adjacent to the Church). Those travelling on the bus will enter the same way. On entering the school building students should proceed to the area to which they have been allocated. Students know this.
Car traffic should follow the One-Way System during drop off and pick up. Enter via the Stamullen gate and exit via the main avenue gate. Students travelling by car should be dropped off by the castle and walk to the front entrance of the school. Parking spaces are available to the front of the castle should they be required. All vehicular traffic should exit via the main avenue gate. It is only the school bus that will exit via the Gormanston gate.
The main avenue gate will remain open throughout the school day to provide access for parents and visitors. The Stamullen gate will be locked at approx. 9.30am and will re – open in time for the collection of students at the end of the school day.
3rd Year Parent Teacher Meeting will take place in school face to face on Wednesday 26th October between 3.30pm and 6pm. Staff will be positioned in the upstairs social area. 6th year prefects will be on hand to assist. Please inform the school if you are unable to attend.
Thursday, 27th October is a non-Uniform day. We are having a Halloween themed fun run. Weather permitting. €2 euro entry. All proceeds to the Peter Mc Verry Trust. 6th year Charity Committee are helping to organise this event and will be on hand to provide assistance and support. Prizes for winning entries and some extra surprises too!!
Friday 28th October is a staff training day. School closed to all students. Monday 7th November 2022 school re-opens after the mid term break.
