College Prefects/Student Council

The College Administration, after consultation with the whole student body, elect four College Prefects, two male and two female in the form of a new Head Girl and deputy to lead the College for the School Year. The College Prefects, the ten Clann Prefects make up the membership of the Student Council. This body meets once a month and discusses matters of concern to the students of the College.   

Who we are

Gormanston College is a Catholic Secondary School under the Gormanston College School Trust.

The College is situated in East Meath and is approximately 32 Kilometres (20 miles) north of Dublin City.

The student body numbers 600 approx and enjoys and includes students from abroad.

There is a mix of boarding and day boarding (day boarding is co-educational). Gormanston is a private fee-paying College.

The College Ethos strives to be fair and firm in an atmosphere where students are directed towards the values of mutual respect, social awareness and reverence for Gospel values.

Our College Motto is Dei Gloriae, Hiberniae Honori (To the Glory of God and the Honour of Ireland).
